My Cozy Treasure Hunt with Ellen and a Wandering Bangboo in Lumina Square

Back in October 2025, I wandered into Lumina Square with no idea that a quiet Bangboo would turn me into a full-time treasure hunter. The event ran from October 4 at 10:00 server time to October 13 at 03:59 server time, and honestly, I only qualified at the last minute. To take part, I had to reach Inter-Knot Lv. 15 and clear the Agent Story “Mole in the Hole (I).” Once those boxes were checked, the real fun began.

I headed to Sān-Z STUDIO, a place I had visited before but never really studied. Ellen was there, leaning near the entrance like she had been expecting me. Speaking to her kicked off the journey, and she explained the whole thing in that low-key way of hers—no pressure, just a mysterious treasure collection waiting to happen.

The setup was simple: event commissions would unlock over time. I couldn’t rush through everything in one evening. Instead, I had to return as new breadcrumbs appeared, each one tied to the Bangboo called “Adrift Half a Year.” That name hit a little differently once I understood its wish. The idea of a small, round wanderer drifting for half a year just to find its way home… yeah, I was invested.

The Hunt Unfolds

The goal was to collect all 9 mysterious treasures. It sounded straightforward, but the journey was full of small surprises. Some of the treasures were hidden in spots I swore I had checked a hundred times. And let me tell you, a few of those event commissions made me slow down and actually look at the environment—something I rarely do when I’m grinding for Polychrome.

The commissions weren’t just fetch quests either. They had this gentle, storybook rhythm. Each completed task felt like lifting a tiny weight off that Bangboo’s shoulders. By the time I had gathered the last treasure, I was more attached to a floating robot than I care to admit.

A small pause here, because the ending genuinely caught me off guard.

A Choice That Felt Bigger Than It Was

After completing the commissions, the game offered me one of three collectibles:

Collectible Vibe
Bangboo Garden Kingdom: Sweet Summer Days Warm, sunny, a little nostalgic
Bangboo Garden Kingdom: Health Plan Bright, energetic, full of good habits
Bangboo Garden Kingdom: The Veggie Squad Playful, green, unexpectedly cute

I picked Sweet Summer Days. It matched the mood of the whole event—soft, warm, and a little dreamy. The remaining two didn’t disappear. They stayed permanently at Sān-Z STUDIO, where I could redeem them later. That was a relief, because I definitely wanted all three sitting in my collection.

The event also rewarded me with Polychrome and a generous stack of upgrade materials. Those came in handy immediately. My characters had been sitting at awkward level gaps for days, and the materials smoothed things out nicely.

One detail worth remembering: if someone finished the commissions but forgot to make a selection before the event ended, the game didn’t punish them. All three collectibles would still be available at Sān-Z STUDIO after the event for redemption. I didn’t need that safety net, but it was nice to know it existed.

Why It Stayed with Me

Looking back from 2026, I keep thinking about how this event balanced charm and restraint. It didn’t flood me with endless menus or confusing mechanics. It simply pointed me toward Lumina Square, gave me Ellen’s quiet company, and let a lonely Bangboo’s wish carry the story.

And, no joke, watching that little Bangboo finally get its happy ending was the high point of my October. I came for the Polychrome and stayed for the feeling that even in a noisy city like New Eridu, small wishes still matter.
